Release throw-line and net structure overboard with attachment line fastened to the stern rail. Circle the man over board on his windward side and lower sail. When the man is exhausted but manage to enter the net in sit-out position, pull him to the side and as high as possible and secure him there until you are ready to hoist him on board with 4:1 block and tackle fastened to the security halyard on the mast or to special fastening point at the end of the boom.
In-water rescue when the man over board is unconscious
If the man overboard is unconscious, keep close eye on him as you lower sail, start engine, secure your way back on board at the side of the boat by lowering of emergency ladder, secure yourself to the yact with safety line and prepare your self to jump into the water with the netstructure in your hand. When ready, motor up to the leeside of the man, stop engine and jump into the water as you grasp him and secure him in the netstructure with the side snap hooks and the throw-line loop on the outer edge of the net. Then pull yourself to the safety ladder climb on board and pull the man to the boat and proceed as descriped before.
