Captain Markus B. Thorgeirsson

The Markus Lifenet or the Markusnet as most seamen call it, was born out of the experience and initiative of an Icelandic trawler skipper.
The inventor and pioneer Captain Markus B. Thorgeirsson, was largely responsible for the life-saving device, which bears his name, becoming a reality. For his work and dedication to this project, hundreds of lives have been saved.
